Hmm, clever spin

The gaps between the pads at the begining I didn't like, it lacked smoothness which is what I'd sort of expect of an oxygen themed track. Yes the swirls in the back sounded great around the pads they were just not smooth enough

The bass and the hi-hat were overpowerful to begin with and just took the effect down. But the drum beats brought some of what you lost on the track back again.
It just needs something extra to bring it to the track it deserves to be. Sometimes less is more, and I learnt that, but here more is needed. Something like a synth.

It loops well though. But that and the drums are the only really good bits about it. It was just too rough overall

Notes for AC-130

Retro went to number one on here a few years back. People just generally loved it. He struck a chord for people here to remember older music styles and brought them up into now.

Unfortunately, here and now the start is out of place, though it sounds very good it lost it's original edge you had many years ago. It just lost that feeling at atmosphere the original had.

However the break into a world outside the begining bass made a little 'rememberance' atmosphere come in and the build up kicks in and yes the sounds sort of work, it's just not the same retro of yesterday.

Unless this is trying to modernise it, I'm afraid the original still gets top marks. Keep going though and reach the top when you can.

Not that brilliant

It won't set the world on fire. If the points I mention in the next paragraph aren't fixed in time for the real thing, it'll fail.

Too repeatative, same sounds, same melody, same drum beat... I don't care that its a sample. A sample should be like a showcase to make people go wow and give you loads of reviews and downloads and a better score. This lacks that wow factor. Also as Axe says it is a bit random and jumpy and no-one on here likes that unless it's well hidden somehow. In this case it's disproportionate. Smoothen note changes out.

Work in different melodies and check whats already out there at the top of the genre and work from there. That's the way to succeed, they all got there for a reason... And it's not saying 'You suck' to everyone or use the work 'crap' every line. You only make enemies doing that.

AxeFX below was telling you about what's wrong with the track at the moment for a low score. It was bigheaded to say and I quote 'IM BETTER THAN YOU AND MOST PEOPLE WHO START OFF WITH MUSIC. ' Let yourself down, your new yes. Doing that means you think of yourself too much. Way too much and that too means you will easilly make enemies.

Learn fast or you'll fall.

In the case of this song I feel the 3 is more than justified. It needs quite a bit of hard work and graft to do well. It needs a lot of improvement. I normally help out starting artists too. I have done in the past with advice. One artist got a number one here that I helped out. It's reviews like the one you gave me that make me more reluctant to help as you have over hyped yourself.

Maybe a better track next time?

Least you did a better response >>. Im not mad at you ^^. But its just cause i was bored that i entrerd it on newgrounds to see people's opinions. Alot of people liked it, who i showed too. Knowing that it was not perfected, Nor finished for what it is now its better than what i expected it to be and im proud. So i dont care what people say if it sucks or not. It doesent suck, Not as bad as other at least >>

Thanks for the comment and i will get better, Least you did a respective and not so mean one. thanks. I even changed it up a bit and made it longer, i fixed the audio levels and stuff so, by the time i do finish it will not be as bad as this was, but its still good as a it is, Sort of.

Top notch stuff

In my mind, when I was listening to the intro, the score was 2.77 which really doesn't suit the overall song, which is just sheer magic.

At about 2 minutes though, I was bored of the 30 seconds worth of piano, but it was pretty flawless of it going out and then coming back at about 2:30.

The start though didn't really work for me though, but it still worked up to the main beat so I'm not that bothered and it won't change the score much. Also I can't say to change anything, it's too good.

As I said I am really surprised that it had a score of 2.77 when I had a listen... Thats too low for something like that.

Thank you. Unfortunatley, within 30 seconds of submitting, my score was 0.39. Oh well; if the song is of good enough quality, votes shouldn't affect it too much.

Thanks for the review.

Party Time!

The start was a bit of the problem but as soon as the snare came in the flow began. This just takes your works past and present and merges them. I like the aggripeigo or sommat like that just before the main melody. Then that simple melody after was amazing. The Chip tones towards the second minute was a fantastic choice.

As for the finish, either a fade out would have been nice or just removed "layers" and turned it into a bassy finish ready for mixing. But what you did seems to work fine.

The melody is excellent. Not repeatative, but smooth and serene and the bass makes it shift from 2-D to 3-D. The Dimensions make it seem more of an awesome party track. I seriously need to make a playlist now of the 50 Best tracks I've ever heard for play on my HiFi system. This is going to be one. It wouldn't be quite a part without a piece of G-R4ve but more specifically this track.

As for the drums, they're fine. The bass is fine too. No faults.

Like you I had an awesome week, getting a new girlfriend and starting work for McDonalds. Well, by that I mean unclogging toilets XD. But it hasn't helped my music production skills though :( .... Ah well! LOL!

It's pretty good!

Bah, I can't be bothered leaving a long review... I've been working at McDonalds and it's one of the most annoying places ever lol!

To the track. My first thought and I stick by this for the whole track is that it is more of a trance track than a Drum And Bass. But still it'll be blasting out of my new HiFi system!

I love the overall melody to this track smooth and relaxing contrastingwith the bass which just takes meaning of the track to a whole new level. The bass is good but is a bit sudden towards the start.

Well, that's all I can say to this amazing track.

As for you, the artist you are:

It's great to see you have come a long way since your return. You went backwards to come forwards. And my word your improvements in ONE year are truly amazing. I'm 100% sure that this is a style of music you should try and build on/ keep the same. Either of which just produce fantastic results and the reviews reflect it.

Good Job G-R4ve

Wow! I was expecting good work, But this BEATS IT!

I love every bit of this, It is the sort of music that gets people noticed and then big things happen.

I love that bass melody and the way it comes in at about 55 seconds. Really makes me think techno/trance for genre but Dance actually makes it more of a match than any of the others.

You keep the melody simple. Nothing wrong with that. You don't really notice it as much as your work with the drums, bass and sound effects. Still, the simple melody is still Kick Ass!

I reckon that the time spent to make this is well worth it. I can't knock it. And besides why should I? I'm in too good of a mood today.

You've come a long way g-r4ve.... a LONG way!
Keep on going! Looking forward to hearing more!

In this song I found myself overlapping melodys... (example the bass melody ur talking about) it worked fairly nicely I think, thx man

DJB345T is right

Although there is no Hardcore genre... There is a trance genre... DJB345T is totally right with his comment. Take it from me 2 years making house does give me some credability with House music. P4C and me came up with a rough definition for House. The closest you come with this is Hard House but still, you have too much bass which catagorises this as Hard Trance. You need a highhat/snare/clap between every beat and this track doesn't.

Now, overall the melody hurts my ears. It's too... "jumpy" and randomised for my liking. The weird sound at the begining is probably the most annoying sound I have heard in years and that totally results in a low score. I crave fantastic music, I use that to base it for my tracks and this is something that shows me that even my songs as much as they get 0'd are worth something!

Also no real change in sounds throughout the track. Too repeatative.

In future, please consider what genre you classify tracks. This is most certainly not House.

thnx for youre review... But i don't agree that this is trance.... Hard trance i don't think so... And yeah this song is not the greates it's one of my first song en yeah to repetitive maybe i will work on it... but for now i do'nt care less...

Superb!

This is like your old stuff...I know I keep saying this but it is.

The only part I actually don't like is the start. It sounds rough... Not really too good... seen as it's a demo it could be smoothened.

The melodies fine. No problems with that or the sounds, perhaps work and agripeigo (sp?) in there somewhere.

The tempo is fine... Rave speedcore. Yeah... Swee-et

Not got much more to say other than I'd love to hear the full version, providing you make a full version!
